Strategy
We find your signal in the noise.
We match your profile against a database of over one million real jobs — not a stale list of government-identified job titles, but real job postings that were actively hiring in the past few months. We uncover patterns in the data to identify your target job tracks. That's your unique niche.
Analytics leadership where you're still hands-on: building dashboards, writing queries, and designing measurement systems. Strategic and business-wide, not narrowed to one channel.

Hi, I'm Laurie.
Founder of Role Call. Data nerd. Glad you're here.
I spent almost six years at Kickstarter, where as Director of Strategy & Analytics I was relentless in my pursuit to use data to help creators make a living doing what they love. A passion for data and for helping people live fuller, more authentic lives has been a throughline of my career.
I've also always been someone who's great at finding jobs. Friends come to me for advice on switching careers, targeting their job search, and tailoring their resumes. So when I left my role at Kickstarter, I thought it would be easy to find something new.
Wow, was I wrong.
If you're reading this, I don't have to tell you that the job market today is a nightmare. Between AI resume farms and AI recruiting farms, it can feel like we're all in a white-knuckle race to the bottom.
I would spend hours scrolling LinkedIn, reading job descriptions so long they make 19th century Russian literature look like an Instagram caption, digging through the sea of slop to find one or two jobs that didn't look like they'd make my soul leave my body. But of course, by the time I found those uncut gems, they were already weeks old.
I knew there had to be a better way. So I built one.
Why we're here
The job search makes brilliant people feel like the smallest version of themselves. Clinging to scraps. Anxious to please. Cynical. Burned out. Hopeless.
People complain a lot about how, in this market, every company only wants a unicorn. That's true. But here's the thing:
You are a unicorn.
You are incredible. I know that before I've even met you because I don't think I've ever met anyone who I didn't see something incredible in.
The trick is identifying your incredibleness and then — and this part is a lot less woo-woo — figuring out where that particular brand of incredible fits in the current job market. Not the job market of 2008, or 2015, but the job market of today.
That's what we're here to do.
The rest of the team
These are my two bosses. They don't do much work, but they do have a lot of opinions.
